Qigong to Live - a life realized in the balance of energy
With Tatiana Sedochenkova
-
I was introduced to the philosophy of Daoism by my father when I was just a girl. He was a Korean born in the Soviet Union. I was a happy child, raised in harmony with the mineral, plant, and animal worlds.
-
He taught me that in battle, it's not physical strength that matters most. What matters most is the vigor of spirit, speed of decision-making, and precision of the strike.
Many years later, in 2007, I opened my own studio of spiritual dance. I taught moving meditation classes as well as chakra alignment classes -
Overall, my life was then full of wonder and joy. I often went on backpacking trips to wild places, danced, and learned how to play tennis. But things changed when in 2014, I was struck with unbearable back pain.
I could not even sweep the house! It was too painful to drive a car for even a half hour. And the results of the MRI scan brought me shocking news. The doctors discovered four herniated discs in my spine. Suddenly, I could no longer live the life I loved. I was left with a feeling of complete despair. "This is it," I realized, "I'm disabled." -
I could not give up. And it was then that I consciously and finally delved into Qigong.
Just six months later, I was able to overcome the horrible prognosis of the doctors, and I felt completely restored. I began to dance again and run around the court with a racquet chasing a ball. I returned to the wilderness with a backpack and I could enjoy snowy mountains on skis! -
And it was when I began training to become a Qigong instructor and learned how to professionally share these teachings with others. I completed the training and I now hold a certificate of a Medical Qigong Instructor.
-
I am happy to wake up each morning, full of energy and excited to fulfill my purpose - to share these ancient teachings with other people, so that they may also feel great in this world of energy.
